Lindsey and Andy were a sweet couple to work with. In my business, I see a lot of love. But, I have to say Andy had to be one of the most smitten grooms I have ever worked with. My favorite part of their day was their “First Glance.”
First Glance is an optional staged opportunity for the couple to see each other for the first time dressed as bride and groom – alone and prior to the ceremony. I work very hard to make sure this moment is extremely special, intimate and private as it will be a memory they will have for a lifetime. During Lindsey and Andy’s First Glance, Lindsey had picked out a special song that Andy knew nothing about. Andy bought Lindsey a bracelet she knew nothing about. Both of them had come to me at separate times before the big day to tell me this information. They decided to hold their First Glance in the church before guests arrived. So, when the moment finally arrived, Andy was at the altar waiting for his bride. We stationed Lindsey at the top of the aisle and this beautiful song filled the church. It caught Andy by surprise and filled his eyes with tears as he saw Lindsey for the first time in her gorgeous dress. When she walked down the aisle to him, he presented her with the bracelet. It was a “goose bump” moment. And, a moment when I realized another one of the many reasons why I love my job!
